so the the dreaded question from beginning network marketers is how much money are you making or how are you doing in this business now firstly it’s a bad question it’s a really bad question because it comes from the place of however you’re going to do is how this person is going to do and that is simply not true we all come into this industry with different goals and different objectives you know maybe we just want to be doing a part-time maybe we maybe we want to strive to big success.
Prospecting Tips Video Handling
it really doesn’t matter it’s it’s it’s a bad question it comes from a bad place it tells me that the prospect is wide and doubtful and you’re not looking forward doubtful people you’re looking for positive leaders okay so it’s a sign that you don’t really have a very good prospect on your hands so how do you handle finance that question anyway all right so here’s some really good advice for you to take on for this first of all if you’re new to the industry even if you’re a veteran I still don’t answer this question if you brand new to the industry and you haven’t made a dime decide to never answer it because no matter what you say it’s not going to work so for example they they say well how are you doing this business.
you say oh well you know I just started I’m anything yet mmm it’s not going to work they’re just gonna be like yep see it’s not going to work for me then okay or if you say well you know I’m making 25 thousand dollars a month or you know making fifty thousand dollars a month again they’re going to be like well you could do that I can’t bear and so no matter what you say it’s not going to work again it’s it’s coming from a place of doubt skepticism perhaps and worry you’re not looking for people like that so decide never to answer you don’t have to answer it it’s putting you on the spot don’t answer okay.
How much money you can make
so what do you say in reply to that okay so they say how much money you’re making you know Bob it’s not about how much money I’m making it’s about how you’re going to do or Bob it’s not about how I’m doing it’s about how you’re going to do and then don’t pause immediately move on to your next question so you just brush it off so you just you know Bob it’s not how much funny i’m making it’s about how you’re going to do so and then Ben you’re moving on to next question right okay.
Now that that part of the process is is important if you leave a gap then they’re just going to be like you know they’re going to come back with saying that you you know that was evasive or something like that so remember you are the leader you’re in control of this situation.
You’re in control of your prospecting okay and so just immediately going on to your next question is the way you want to handle money it now some prospects are going to be like some prospects are going to push that issue they’re not going to answer your next question.
They’re going to want to probe further as to why you didn’t answer that question okay now first of all this is where you can engage the takeaway because remember ass person who needs to ask that question is perhaps not the best prospect for this it’s coming from a place of doubt skepticism and worry you’re looking for a leader pool so you can use the takeaway.
How we can use the takeaway in this situation Bob you’re not really showing me the kind of leadership I’m looking for I may have to go ahead and let you go okay then you wait then you pause don’t immediately move on to next question you’ve just just enforced the take away some let out of their hands you’re going to wait to see how they respond okay.
now if they want to argue or if they want to push the issue further disqualified you say okay Bob I’m sorry you’re not who we’re looking for thanks Pete I’m then gone cool because they disqualified for your business they’re not the kind of person.
you’re looking for they’re not responsive to your leadership if however they respond in a positive manner to that take away then you move on to your next question and it’s gone ok cool so just to recap first of all it’s a bad question how much money are you making to sign you’ve got a bad prospect on the other side of the phone alarm bells should be ringing decide to never answer it ok and and then answer it with it’s not about how I’m doing Bob it’s about how you’re going to do and then immediately go on to you next question.
if they possess if they persist use the takeaway Bob you’re not really showing me the kind of leadership qualities I’m looking for I may have to go ahead and let you go wait positive response move on negative response i’m sorry but we know who we’re looking for have a great day yeah alright cool so hopefully that helps you out with that with that question it stumped me when I was starting in this industry oh man.
I used to have people ask me that question I was like oh I don’t know I just started I’ve made anything yet ah you just don’t know and it puts you on the spot so decide to never answer it hit him with that hopefully it took some notes during that one.
